  1. The RIPE Network-Related Maps Repository
  2. ------------------------------------------

  4. This directory contains network related maps collected by the RIPE NCC.
  5. The contents of the maps is the responsibility of the authors/maintainers.
  6. RIPE and the RIPE NCC are not responsible of the correctness of the
  7. information contained in the stored maps.
  8.  
  9. The maps contained in this directory may not be reproduced or published
  10. under copyright without the agreement of RIPE. 
  11.  
  12. All maps older than 6 months are considered outdated and moved to the
  13. subdirectory named archive.
  14.  
  15. If you have a map that you would like to be stored in the directory,
  16. then send your map to the RIPE NCC <ncc@ripe.net> in either PostScript
  17. or compressed PostScript format.
  18.  
  19. All map files are listed below, for each map the following information
  20. is provided:
  21.  
  22. name:       the filename of the map.
  23. maintainer: the name and e-mail address of the maintainer of the map
  24. descr:      a short description of the content of the map
  25. descr-as:   the AS numbers that the map encompasses, both totally or in
  26.             part.
  27. source:     the original source of the file, where the map can also be
  28.             retrieved, if available.

  31. The filenames must follow the convention:

  33.         cc-name-ty-yymmdd.ext
  34.  
  35. Where
  36.  
  37. cc      - Two letters ISO country code, or, for large maps, geographical
  38.           area covered.
  39.  
  40. name    - Short Name of the network
  41.  
  42. ty      - Type of map, could be:
  43.                         ge - geographical
  44.                         tp - network topological
  45.  
  46. yymmdd  - year, month, and day of creation.
  47.  
  48. ext     - extension giving file type (encoding):
  49.                        ps   - PostScript
  50.                        ps.Z - compressed PostScript
